Premier Dance WILL HOLD classes TONIGHT, Thursday, November 15, 2018. If circumstances in your area would make travel unsafe, please do not attend class tonight.
Winter weather has started early this year! Please note that we will NOT automatically cancel dance if one of the school districts in our area cancels school. Oftentimes, roads that are unsafe in the early morning hours are cleared by the time we hold dance classes in the evenings. If we do cancel dance, we WILL notify you via email message, Remind message, and Facebook.
Please note that there will be NO CLASSES for ANY of our dancers November 20, 21, and 22, 2018! This includes our Company Classes! The studio will be CLOSED the entire week of Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Costume Ordering/Parent Watch Week!
Shoe Week is September 18, 19, 20 and 25, 26, 27! During Shoe Week we will have forms available listing the shoe requirements for each class. If you would like to order dance shoes from Premier, we will have sample shoes available for children to try on before and after each class FOR TWO WEEKS ONLY. Children must stay on the carpet while wearing the sample shoes. If you place an order for shoes, please remember to leave about a thumb’s width at the toe for growth when choosing a size. If you choose to purchase shoes independently, please use our samples to note the required styles, but note that the SIZES WILL VARY from vendor to vendor.
Kindly removed unsold items from the studio by September 27.
This is just a reminder that fall tuition is due soon, and is payable no later than September 30. (September 25, 26, and 27 are the last nights of dance prior to September 30.)
The tuition schedule is available below and here on our website. If your dancer takes two classes or if you have two children enrolled, you may deduct $5 from your total payment.

Dance classes start this week, and we are so excited to see you all!
Remind - In addition to sending email message with important updates and reminders, we also communicate via Remind. To join our Remind, just click this link our class code is @pdc4dance. If you prefer, you may also follow the attached directions to join our Remind and begin receiving our notifications.
Classroom Attire - Dancers are expected to practice in appropriate dance attire (leotard, dance shorts or pants/tops) and dance shoes specific to the type of dance being practiced [see our shoe information below]. Company dancers will need up to four pairs of dance shoes. All dancers must wear their hair pulled back from their faces and secured tightly in a ponytail if it is long enough and in a half ponytail if it is not. No jewelry, please. Jeans are not acceptable for any class or rehearsal. Please be sure to label all clothing and shoes with the dancer's name. (from "Our Studio"/"Studio Policies" on the Premier website.)
Dance Shoes - Please note that dancers do NOT need dance shoes to begin classes. During the first few weeks of classes, we will clarify your child's specific shoes needs; those shoes will be available for purchase through the studio during our Shoe Week, or you may note the requirements at that time and purchase shoes independently. Dancers should be wearing the required shoes or have them on order through our studio by the first week of October.

Enrollment will OPEN to NEW students this Monday. If your returning student is planning to dance next year, please enroll before Monday for the best chance of reserving a spot. Several classes are full now, others will fill quickly when enrollment opens to all students on Monday, and we fill our classes on a first-come, first-served basis.
If your dancer is in grades 7-12 and wishes to be considered for one of our Companies, she must be signed up by the end of the day today.
If you have already enrolled, you should have received copies of your enrollment form AND your Student Release form via email to the address you provided; these forms serve as your confirmation. If you do not have copies of these forms, you are probably not enrolled and are not on a class roster.

Dress rehearsal is this Thursday, May 3 at Champ Auditorium on the Westminster campus. We will start promptly at 5:30 PM with the finale.
Attached here, please find the program for Act 1 and Act 2. Please arrive by 5:20 PM with your dancer dressed in her first costume of the show.
During rehearsal, dancers should sit with their parent. At the show on Saturday, dancers will sit in the seats assigned to their classes. Dancers must remain in these seats throughout the show; if dancers sit elsewhere, they may miss their performances.
Please note that each parent is responsible for his or her dancer's costume changes.
Please reply to this email if you are willing to be one of our two parent volunteers at the show Saturday night; please be sure to let us know which of the following classes you can sit with:
DVD order forms must be submitted to Premier Office staff no later than 6 PM Thursday, May 3 at dress rehearsal.
The doors will open at 6:00 PM the night of the show, Saturday, May 5. Seats for the show may not be saved before the door opens. The exception to this is our high school seniors, who may save up to eight seats each.
Please note that dancers will rehearse in EVERY costume Thursday night at dress rehearsal. Bring each costume to dress rehearsal with ALL accessories and the required SHOES for each dance.
Come to dress rehearsal DRESSED in your FIRST costume of the show! We will begin rehearsing at 5:30 PM; everyone must be dressed and ready by this time.
We will start dress rehearsal with the finale. We will then rehearse our youngest groups first. They will rehearse, change costumes while another group rehearses, then rehearse their second number. If they are in additional classes, they will rehearse those numbers as well.
Dancers may go home when their classes have rehearsed all their dances--we will announce when each class has finished and is dismissed!

This information will be used at our Spring Show to recognize those dancers who have achieved certain milestone years in their dance experience.

Please bring the completed DVD order form and payment to the studio by May 2 or to dress rehearsal May 3.
After May 3, orders must be mailed directly to Rod Smith at the address printed on the order form. We cannot take order forms the day of the show.
