As we prepare to end the 2019-2020 dance season, we wanted to let our dance families be among the first to know that after eight very happy years at Premier Dance Studio, Tara and Stacey will be retiring this spring.
Our children have had such an amazing experience with dance, and we are so grateful that we could participate in that experience with them. Our children are all grown up now and planning college majors, graduations, weddings, and careers. Just as we followed them in their love of dance, we now feel called to follow them into the next phases of their lives. We are currently reaching out to several parties whom we believe would love running the studio as much as we do. It is important to us to know that the studio will remain in good hands so that your children can continue pursuing their love of dance. Thank you. Thank you for your continued support over the years, for allowing us to share our love of dance with your family, and for allowing us to know and care for your beautiful dancers. We have absolutely loved our time in the studio and will miss our dance families. As we look forward to our final performance as Premier Dance Company, we are saddened to think how our last year was altered by COVID-19. While we have recognized for a few months now that it was time to retire, it just wasn't supposed to end this way! We thank you for the kindness and patience you showed during the difficult decisions that had to be made this spring for the safety of our dancers--we just really can't thank you enough for the support you showed us during this time. Please know that we will make you aware of our progress in finding new owners for your studio. We hope that you will support them and continue to surround your children with the love of dance. Best wishes to you and your family as we wind up this crazy season and look toward a warmer, safer summer! Dear Dance Families,
We have been closely monitoring the process of re-opening our community and have determined that, in the interest of the health and safety of our dancers, some adjustments need to be made to our earlier plans for reopening the studio. Westminster College will not be opening Champ Auditorium for our Spring Show, nor would social distancing guidelines allow us to bring all our families and their guests together to celebrate our dancers there. Therefore, we have been forced to consider an alternate means of showcasing our dancers and the work they have done this year. In addition, as we began to fine tune the details of maintaining appropriate social distancing and other safety precautions, it became clear that we would need to institute some new policies and time frames for our final events; these schedule changes and policies are outlined below for your convenience. We will resume classes for ONE week, the week of June 9-11 and hold a final performance scheduled by class for Saturday, June 13 at an outdoor venue to be confirmed at a later time. CLASSES - JUNE 9-11:

First, please know that everyone here at the studio misses our dancers! We hope that your families are safe and well during this time of social distancing. Second, we want to assure you that we are anxious to resume our classes and reschedule our spring show! While we have been in touch with Westminster College about rescheduling our use of Champ Auditorium, no one knows if our quarantine restrictions will be lifted or extended at the end of this month; we are simply dealing with circumstances beyond our control. As soon as possible, we will schedule the remainder of our classes, during which time your costumes will be distributed, and we will share with you our plans to hold our spring show. In the meantime, our teachers have been working to upload videos of their dances to special Facebook groups. As soon as all technical difficulties are resolved, we will notify you that those groups are ready to join! This will give your dancers an opportunity to resume practicing and bring a little dance back into their days! We so appreciate your patience as our world struggles to cope with this virus and its impact. You will be the first to know when we are able to gather together again; we will notify you via email, Remind, and Facebook. Until then, stay safe and healthy, and know that our thoughts are with you. Thank you for your patience as we make decisions in these uncertain times. As you know, the news changes hourly and is more heart-breaking with each update. We have come to the realization that we have no other choice than to suspend classes at this time. Effectively immediately, we are canceling all classes and activities at Premier. When it is evident that it is safe for us to return to a normal schedule, we will begin the process of rescheduling our spring activities, culminating in our Spring Show. Please note that as we gain information, we will share it with you via email, Facebook, Remind, Twitter, and our website. Stay safe.
